We recognise that our clients expect from us efficient clerking and administration, and that is an expectation that we seek to fulfil. Our clerks will always endeavour to allocate briefs to the most suitable practitioner in chambers without delay, and to answer promptly all enquiries. Feedback from clients is encouraged.

We have a fully computerised work diary, which enables us to field enquiries and make bookings swiftly and efficiently, whilst minimising the risk of error, and we are also equipped for the electronic court listing system.Where it would be convenient for our clients, we can e-mail written work, or supply a copy of it on floppy disc.

We think that having been awarded the L. S. C. Quality Mark for the Bar reflects our commitment to the quality of the service that we provide.

Office hours

Our clerks are available between 0845h and 1830h. For urgent enquiries outside those hours, we have an emergency number.

Saturdays

Since some magistrates' courts sit on Saturdays, we have members of chambers on call every Saturday to provide representation. Members can be instructed out of hours by using our emergency number.

Fees

We are L. S. C. Quality Mark approved for both criminal and civil work, and are therefore able to undertake publicly funded work. All members of chambers undertake publicly funded work regularly.

For private work, fees can be charged at an hourly rate, or in a single lump sum, the rate depending on the seniority of the barrister in question and the nature and complexity of the case. We are always happy to provide an estimate of the total fees before instructions are received.

Some of our members accept conditional fee instructions. In all cases, our clerks are happy to negotiate fees to suit the circumstances of the client and the case. Contact us, without obligation, for more information.

Conferences

We are happy to have conferences either in chambers or in solicitors' offices.
